I bought the album 'Dancing is Depressing' by Attic Abasement 2011 and has been my favourite album ever since.Their music and lyrics have been inspiration for my whole artistic outlook in the past few years and I have had so much time to purely indulge in their creativity. I've also always loved the artwork for this album in particular, the whole Eastern American emo/alternative culture through art is so appealing and I had to try and find out who designed the cover.
I emailed vocalist and all round powerhouse behind the band, Michael Rheinheimer about the guy who created the cover in a hope that he'd reply.. and he DID! I felt starstruck to say the least. The illustrator's tumblr is amazing too, I will be carrying his work with me from now on, and this experience has made me feel confident in contacting creative people I admire around the world, especially if there is a chance they will reply!
As I'm in a band myself, I love album artwork and hope this could one day be a route I take as a career?
