LCA in conversation with Matt Forsythe
This was an amazing experience to have being an illustration student. I rarely think about life beyond university, to be honest its scary territory. I was interested in hearing about his journey as an artist and illustrator, and in telling, it really was so intriguing. It reinforced the notion of continuously drawing and making images no matter what point you are at in your life. The fact he travelled and made a living through whatever he could and ended up being highly involved in one of the biggest cartoon animations currently around is inspirational. For a moment his talk made me feel like I could do anything I wanted. The whole bohemian-lonely-artist-travelling-around-the-world-just-trying-to-make-a-name-for-themselves is so appealing, being in conversation with Forsythe briefly unearthed my want for adventure.
