Whilst compiling my creative CV together I remembered that I had been chosen to submit work in to BRUT MAGAZINE, and although this was a while ago, it is something important PPP-wise.
The illustrators who were in the publication too were all classed as 'lo-brow' and they wee crazy. Its cool to be associated with these illustrators because their ethics and way of working is anarchic.
A lot of the illustrators in the publication are or have gone on to be famous and well-known practitioners.
PENELOPE GAZIN is my icon in terms of presenting herself online, she isn't just an illustrator either, she is a musician under the name Sadwich.
Penelope Gazin is the kind of creative I want to be.
