STUDIO RESIDENCIES

I need to seriously think about what I am doing when I graduate and how I am going to achieve the things I really want to achieve when I don't have the facilities anymore...

WHAT I KNOW I'M GONNA DO:

• stay in Leeds... live with my manager rent free... work to make a bit of money I can use to save up for living in a studio? Move abroad? Build my own studio with others?

• studio residency?! I can't stay with my manager forever, the worst thing I can imagine doing is living above a pub and working in that same pub for longer than a year... I'll give myself til xmas to find something else...

Studio residencies I have found:

WOMEN'S STUDIO WORKSHOP !!!! This is the best one I have found, they have numerous studio residencies - the one I really want is for 6 months starting January in upstate New York, a month in Sweden and a month in Germany.

I am definitely going to apply for them all, I have the credentials for each one and all are to do with PRINTING!!! I just need written references to make complete my application. I have already completed my CV which talks about print etc.

EAST LONDON PRINT MAKERS !!!! This again is a perfect residency to apply for! It is not abroad either so will be a perfect for my first time!

LKV NORWEGIAN RESIDENCY !!!! This here is still a great opportunity but would be more difficult financially as I would be in Norway (expensive) and it is all self funded
